Shop till you drop!
It can’t get easier than this, can it? Just open your Internet browser and enter any online store you wish. Need a new blouse? It’s there. Need a new TV? You’ve got it. Heck you can even go food shopping online with just a click of a mouse and have the groceries delivered straight to your front door. Yes, you know it, I am talking about the online shopping frenzy that is sweeping consumers of all ages, worldwide.
Sure, buying online makes our lives so much easier. Juggling work, family life and every day chores and errands can be hard to master, and who wants to go to a jam-packed mall on an idle Sunday anyway, trying hundreds of items on and possibly walking out of the mall empty handed. There’s no doubt about it – simple is the way to go, right?
Wrong! Sorry folks, I beg to differ. On a personal level, going shopping is just an excuse to meet my girlfriends for a cup of coffee and some good ol’ gossip, I’m not going to lie – purchasing new items is an added bonus to those things. Mothers taking daughters shopping, fathers taking their sons, grandparents, couples, we all need an excuse to go out and spend time (and money!), and don’t underestimate the importance of the actual act of smelling a perfume, touching a fabric and consulting a friend or family member face to face as to what to get and how much to spend.
We are not doomed to loneliness. Overcome your laziness and do things yourself. Get out there, see people, talk to them, meet your friends and enjoy your time. Enter a store, not a website. Pick your own veggies and fruits, aren’t you the one who has to eat them? Shop till you drop people. Don’t let anyone or anything take that away from you.
